Each year, Sloan Upstate puts together a team of runners & walkers to participate in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, which raises funds for breast cancer research. This event is hosted throughout the United States, generally around September/October each year.

Construction costs are reduced in the widening of 4.8 mi. (7.7 km) of S.C. 161 in York County, S.C., with the usage of Topcon high global positioning systems (GPS). Click here to read the full story.

2007 Colas Vanguard Award for Safety

Safety is Priority #1 at Sloan Upstate. Because of our focus and desire to provide safe working environments for our employees, subcontractors, and the traveling public, our region was recognized by parent company Colas with the 2007 Vanguard Safety Award. This is a highly desired award within The Colas Group worldwide, and represents zero lost-time accidents for 18 months and a general decline of occurrences over the past five years.
