Blacksburg Plant AP-25 has been producing asphalt with a parallel-flow drum for many years. Because of increased production needs in that area of the SC & NC, we decided it was time for an upgrade!blacksburgdrum

In late April, Upstate installed a counterflow drum and new burner. All work was done in-house, from the new concrete foundations, the drum removal & refurbishment, to the electrical wiring that brings the drive gears to life. The whole team did an incredible job by completing the project and getting Blacksburg back on-line within one month’s time!
