Freedom Weekend Aloft is a family fun festival in Simpsonville, South Carolina that showcases hot air balloon shows, live music concerts featuring Top 20 recording acts, carnival rides, concessions, and retail vendors for the Memorial Day Weekend in May each year.

Blacksburg Plant AP-25 has been producing asphalt with a parallel-flow drum for many years. Because of increased production needs in that area of the SC & NC, we decided it was time for an upgrade!

In the Spring of 2008, Sloan Upstate decided that the I-85 road frontage signage sat too low for commuters to see, and the time had come to do something about it.

 

Each year in June Sloan Upstate hosts a tour for employee's spouses, conducted by our Regional Manager, Kevin Reed. The idea is to share "what we do everyday" with our spouses who, for various reasons, may not know what we endure or encounter on our jobs from day to day.

In June, Alan Harrison (Director of Business Development & Marketing) and Kirsten Duffy (Chief Estimator) visited T.E. Mabry Middle School for Career Day.
