Sloan Upstate’s asphalt products are made with the highest quality raw materials. Aggregates meet DOT Approved gradations and are continuously tested by our own QA/QC Labs to assure conformance to specifications.

The aggregates are thoroughly dried & treated with an Anti-Stripping Agent (or Adhesion Promoter) to improve its bond with the liquid asphalt while mixing & during paving. This process is done to extend the service life of the end-pavement structure by also preventing the asphalt from stripping off the aggregate when introduced to water (Segregation).

Before leaving the plant, the HMA is tested in accordance with the latest, appropriate DOT Specifications by our Quality Control Manager & Technicians.
