Sloan is one of only two contractors in South Carolina who has an AASHTO Federally Certified Hot Mix Asphalt Design Lab. It is the most prestigious award a design lab can obtain, thus we achieve the highest quality asphalt mix. In addition, each of our five plants has on-site Quality Control Centers to insure proper mix quality.
Sloan’s Duncan and Blacksburg facilities are certified for North Carolina & Georgia DOT mixes as well.
There are only 14 AASHTO (American Association of State Highway & Transportation Officials) certifications held by private contractors on the East Coast of the U.S. Of those 14, only 8 are in the South. Of those 8, Sloan Construction is 1 of 2 in South Carolina.
