About Sloan Construction Midstate
Sloan Construction Company, Inc. was originally founded in Greenville South Carolina by Mr. E.D. Sloan in 1933. In 1962 they expanded to the Columbia area of South Carolina with the purchase of Douglas Asphalt. This expansion was due to Mr. Sloan’s decision to focus on the horizontal construction, and in particular asphalt paving. Since then there have been up to four asphalt manufacturing facilities placed in this region at various times for various projects.
The Midstate region currently has two asphalt manufacturing facilities, and constructs various highway and commercial projects. Recent projects have varied in size from parking lots, to interstates and airports. We take pride in knowing that the construction services we offer our customers are of the highest quality and will meet or exceed the owner’s specifications. This region remains an innovative, progressive, industry leader with unlimited growth in the construction field.
