Sloan Construction Earns Diamond Achievement Commendation for Clinton, S.C. Plant

On November 11, 2013, Sloan  Construction earned the coveted National Asphalt Pavement Association’s 2013 Diamond Achievement Commendation for Excellence in Asphalt Plant/Site Operation for the asphalt plant in Clinton, S.C..

The Diamond Achievement Commendation is a unique self-assessment program that encourages and recognizes responsible asphalt plant operational practices and cultivates good community relations. NAPA’s Chairman, John Keating noted, “Earning the Diamond Achievement Commendation enhances both the image of our individual facility and the image of the asphalt pavement industry.  It clearly demonstrates a corporate commitment to excellence with a community focus.”

NAPA developed the Diamond program in 1999. The self-assessment process addresses six essential facets of an asphalt plant/site: appearance, operations, environmental practices, safety, permitting and regulatory compliance and community relations. Earning the Commendation exemplifies a company’s commitment to excellence in all aspects of an asphalt facility, and symbolizes continuous improvement in operations and community relations.
